Representatives of Youth Social Rights Network (Nato Antia and Sulkhan Chargeishvili – also representing Public School) participated in 3rd Compass Forum on Human Rights Education. The Forum was hosted by European Youth Center in Budapest (5-7 October 2016).
The Forum aimed at strengthening the quality, recognition and outreach of human rights education with young people in the Council of Europe. It brought together about 120 participants, including experts and partners involved in human rights education with young people,organizers of national training programs, publishers of educational resources in non-official languages, trainers and leaders of youth and students organization, representatives from the Advisory Council on Youth and the European Steering Committee on Youth, experts active within the programme of the Education Department and the EDC coordinators.
During 3 days intensive discussions and work, participants focused on:

- To evaluate achievements since the 2nd Forum and discuss recent developments in the understanding and practices of human rights education with young people
- To prepare and contribute to the review of the implementation of the Council of Europe Charter on EDC/HRE with input from the youth and NGOs sectors
- To address challenges and future goals for human rights education, especially through youth policy and youth work
- To make proposals for the further development and sustainability of Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education in the Council of Europe
- To support exchange and cooperation between stakeholders from formal and non-formal education fields concerned with EDC/HRE
- To enhance the recognition of the role of young people and youth work in EDC/HRE.
