Don't hate what you do not understand it was the title of the 4 parallel local activities organized by the YSRN in line with the New Chapter KA2 project of the Erasmus + programme.
YSRN members from Yerevan, Skopje, Thessaloniki and Tbilisi organized on 24th of March in the International Day for the Right to the Truth concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims, 4 parallel activities based on the manual of the No Hate Speech Movement----->Bookmarks!
In Thessaloniki participates gathered in a very beautiful place in the center of the city called Caravan cafe. Our members introduced the idea of the New Chapter, what is hate speech and they experienced one Bookmark activity with the name Play it again. This activity is based on a role play: someone is drawn into an act of bullying because of peer pressure. Participants are asked to replay the scenario in order to achieve a different outcome. The group splited and 5 participants had the task to explore the city and take photos of discriminative or racist things. From a graffiti in the walls to an action.
Participants learned what is hate speech and were awered of hate speech phenomenon in Thessaloniki.
